Antique church candlestick, France, 1920, brass, heavy patine, almost black. With a pin in the cup to hold the candle
This church candle stick is ready to leave religion behind and shine in your home. As a single candle stick or in a group of candle sticks together. It will be an asset for you home.
It has a pin in the middle of it's cup to hold those massive church candles securely upright. And with all those frisky choir boys running around during service, the priest had to prevent accidents with crashing candles all around. (About those other 'accidents' that happened with frisky choir boys and priest we best keep silent here, that is what the church did for decades, isn't it).
But if you want it, you probably will burn a 'regular' blunt candle in it. And then this pin in the cup will be cumbersome. So if you want, I can grind it off if you so wish. (I know, it is sacrilege to do this, in more sense than just one, but I have no problem doing it for you)
Dimensions 50 cm high, including the pin, with at the base 28 cm.
