Artichokes for in the garden, terracotta, Italy, 1980
Very fresh from Italy, this pair of artichokes. But I would not eat them if I were you, unless you have already ordered your new set of dentures. They are made of terracotta, glazed with a thin layer of concrete. And that thin layer of concrete has aged very very nice, with even some patches of moss in places.
They come from a garden in Como. Not that old but neither made yesterday. Saw first light somewhere in the eighties. ( And no they do not have the Corono virus nor are they contagious.
The price is for the pair and they will only be sold as a pair.
