I am so very sorry but I really do not know the English word for this thing. In Dutch we say "Haard plaat", whch would translate something like fireplace plate or plaque. You put it in the back of your fireplace, where it is and very decorative and starts radiating the heat of the fire slowly in to your room. Which with all those drafty castles and manors in England, should not be considered a luxury but a necessity.
Oh, you don't have a drafty manor? Sorry. Oh you don't have a manor, drafty or isolated. Double sorry. Than you just use it in your fireplace for decorative purposes and the radiating thing it can do is just a nice extra.
It from France, originally, nice decor on front, with a elegant lady flanked by beautifull guirlandes on each side.
It is pretty heavy but still fragile. Cast iron, which breaks easily. So you better come and pick it up in our shop or have it delivered to your house.
