Antique French little vase with flowers, cast iron, grey with traces of rust, France, around 1900
Availability: | In stock |
Nice little cast iron vase. With flower decoration. These were often used on a grave, so in Holland we call the "little grave vases" (literal translation). But they became so very popular, also because of their practical use, that they were 'upgraded' to regular vases as well.
I bought this one at a market so I do not know if it was once stationed at the grave of a loved one or just spend it's days in the sun in a garden in France. But I do know that it is nice enough to deserve a place on your balcony or in your garden.
Dimensions: Height 22 cm, diameter top 13, diameter little foot 11 cm.
