Vintage green vase, pitted glass, Belgium, 1960-1970
Stunning green glass vase, made from what they call 'war glas' here in the Netherlands. Glass with pits in and on it. But this vase was created at least two decades after the war. And I not expert enough to know if war glass was still used in the sixties because of necessity or just because people had taken a liking to it.
And this one has a sort of color scale. The top part is brighter coloured than the bottom part, which is more transparant. Now a days we would call it dip dye, but I do not know what they called it in the sixties.
I like it, but that is not what this all about. I hope you like it, that is important now.
I have three of these, they differ from each other a bit, but for sure they are a set. Having said that, you are in no way obliged to buy the set, just buy the one you like.
Dimensions: height 31 cm, diameter 13 cm.
