A pair of antique gilded angels, wood with plaster, France, 1900
These guys were once mounted on top off an impressive large French mirror. No idea what happened to the mirror itself, but I would love to have bought it. But I had to settle for these two.
Putti's, wooden frame, with a finish of plaster and gilding. The iron things on the back are recently added (as you would have guessed), but makes that you can mount them to your wall or even have them standing without any support.
There are two little repairs done. But is professionally done and if you don't know where they are, you will not see them. (But since I was the Lombard that tipped them over with my tiniwini bum (ahem) I can point them out to you) ( It is a pity that it was me myself and I that tipped them, no one else to blame or to shout at. And it is really not that satisfying, shouting by yourself at yourself )
