Vintage hospital night stand, steel with rubber wheels, rusty but more than functional, Belgium, 1960.
I bought these hospital night stands a couple of years ago at an auction in Belgium. They were pensioned of from the old hospital in Leuven. The new hospital was build in 1989, but these were not allowed in. They were put in storage and eventually they were sold, years and years on.
That storage is to blame for the rust you see on it. They conditions it was kept in were below standard and did a lot of harm, or may be that is too strongly worded. But let's say, the storage did no good.
I bought them at an auction in 2017. Sold one rather quickly, kept the other one in the family. But now this one is also allowed to go.
It is a super cute little night stand with rather a lot of space to store stuff. It is rusted, yes it is. And of course it will probably benefit from a good sanding and some paint. But you can do that yourself, don't call me.
