I found this sweetie on a little markt in Andalusia, Spain. I often find the most gorgeous treasures, originating from Morocco or some other Arabic country. Shouldn't be suprising, if the weather is clear, you can see Morocco on the other side of the water.
We as a family spend many summer holidays in the 70/80 's at the home of my 'extra grandfather' who lived on the beach near Estapona. And during most of these holidays we made at least one trip to the other side by boat, to Morocco. Fez, Tanger, that is where we went. And I loved it. And each time we brought some treasures with us, carrying with it a whiff of the magic of '1001 nights.
And that is probably how this little lantern made the crossing to Spain, in the back of a little rental car .
It is an old lantern, with that beautiful decorated glass in the windows. But is not electrified, it is for candle light. There are some dents in places and some parts are bended. But, no wonder, if you realise that this little lantern is already 60 years old.
Dimensions: will follow any time soon. No, they will not, since it has been sold.
