Vintage vingerfood server, wood, Indonesia, 1960-1970
Never did I come across a similar piece. Some sort of hors d'hoeuvres, that could just have been part of the film set of the first Bridget Jones movie. (If you can still remember that Christmas party at the home of Bridget's mother, where she served those gherkins, cheese cubes and canapés )
It has three layers that can be taken apart so it is easy to stow away. But when assembled, you 'll see that it has this cute little pineapple on top, of which the leaves double as little spoons.
??? So what to do with it??? No idea, it just brought a smile to my face when I first spotted it. I could see it standing in the kitchen. Filled with your oils, vinegar, and herbs. And then every year, around Christmas, you take it out of the kitchen and fill it up with gherkins, cheese cubes and canapés.
And start praying that Collin Firth in his Christmas sweater drops in.
Dimensions: h 72 cm, diameter 38 cm (largest). In total 8 serving dishes and 7 spoons.
