Antique arm chair, voltaire they say in France. But this one is from The Netherlands so we just call it: chair. Sits like a dream. The upholstery is old, not as old as the chair itself, but rather aged as well. Upholstery with what some kind of velvet. a very high quality fabric, which probably explains why it still in such good condition.
Except there is one button in the backrest missing. Uncle John pulled it out, by accident, with one of his suspenders. And now you probably think: "She made that up, about the suspenders". But no, she did not. I was told this by the former owner. Whom inherited this chair from her parents.
But she wants to change her interior and the chair had to go. So that is how I came by it.
You can have him re upholstered so it will fit better in your living room, but if red is your colour, it will serve you well in it's current state for years and years.
