Very nice antique penant mirror, still with original glass and back. The mirror glass has some weather spots. And it has had a very rough life the past few years. I do not know where it lived its life originally but the last few years were spend in the barn of a farm in Noord-Holland. And it was not really the best place for it.
And on top of that, a little warning before you buy it. It can hang on the wall, of course it can. But given it's length and the thickness of the mirror inside, the mirror is so very heavy that you have to support it's base. If not, the frame will collapse in the end.
And support on the base sounds worse than it will be in practice. I do not intend for you to stand watch next to the mirror, day in day out and hold your hand under it 24/7. What I advise you to do is to hang in on the wall with to separate screws on the top. So no wire across the frame, but two wires, one on each side of the frame and in addition two screws under the bottom, so it can rest on those. This way you prevent the frame from pulling itself apart by it's own weight. And if you do it nicely, it will not be noticeable. So do your best.
The mirror can not be shipped by mail but can be delivered at your doorstep for a reasonable fee or you can come and pick it up at the shop.
