Old, almost antique handmade chair, India, teak with some repairs in places, around 1900

Unfortunately I have only one of these chair but it probably was once part of a set. Since we have loads of Thonet chairs in café's and Gispen or Ikea in the dining room, was this model chair once the standard in India. And this is nice old, almost antique one.
You can see the craftsmanship complemented with some repairs in places. Because little mister or missy impatient just knocked in some nails where they were needed apparently. In his or her humble opinion.
Despite, or maybe thanks to this crude carpentry it is very solid and comfortable. And more positive news, since it is made from teak wood, it will survive outside if you want to. It will turn into a lovely grey over time.
