Gilded plaster eagle or falcon, once part of a mirror probably, Spain, around 1890

I consider myself lucky that this is not an 'American Eagle'. Because ever since that Orange Mandarin is in power, American paraphernalia are a lot less in demand. But it is still an eagle. Or an falcon. Not sure entirely. But a Spanish one. It pretends to be wood but unfortunately for him, he is a lot less posh, being cast in plaster.
Once beautifully gilded and probably mounted on top of an imposing mirror. But that was then and this in now. The gilding is worn down in places, topped up in other places. And he is no longer the king on the mirror but spends his life as a singleton on the wall. He has some chipping, mostly at the wings. Can't be helped but can be repaired probably
And still he is beautiful and a bit imposing and bold.
