I can not think of any useful purpose for this piece of lovely carved wood. It is just there, being pretty. Sweet flowers along the edge, fan like decor in the middle and on top. Probably once part of one of those throne-like heavy Spanish chairs. (Which I really not like to be honest, way too much, but parts of it, I do like apparently)
You like it or you do not. I liked it enough to take it with me and put it in its rightful place, shining prettiness all around. And maybe you see it too.
