This cabinet had been sitting in my warehouse for quite some time. Waiting for a bit of TLC. I could tell there were old layers of paint underneath — but what exactly, and how it would look, I had no idea.
And then, this afternoon, I suddenly got the urge. Couldn’t help myself. It had to happen — and it had to happen now. (Practical? Not at all. Fun? Absolutely.) So I started scraping. And scraping. And scraping. The top first.
And what emerged from underneath is far better than I could ever have imagined.
Just look at all those layers of old paint. I seem to have created a sort of Piet Hein Eek-style cabinet — entirely by accident. And I think it’s absolutely brilliant.
It is too heavy for standard shipping, but I’m happy to arrange delivery to your home for a small and reasonable fee.
