Frivolous but still robust, these Spanish planters. A bit like the country itself. They have handles on the sides and little feet, which makes them just looking a bit nicer. They have been painted but the paint is fading in places and the original terracotta shines through.
I like it very much, this fading paint, but if you feel differently about that just take a tin of paint and a brush and I think you can have them white, or red, or yellow or blue in about 10 minutes.
There is some chipping in places and in the rim of one there is a little crack. But given the material, the age and the long hard journey the recently had, that is not surprising. And even in this condition they will last you years to come.
It is a pair but the can be sold separately.
