One of the nicest things to come out of the move to the warehouse has been the collaboration with Kitty Markus, artist, bon vivant, and simply a very pleasant person to be around.
She once bought an old wall bracket from me, which I had been using in the warehouse as a candle holder. Two weeks later, she returned with this. She had made a mould from the original piece and created this beautiful version.
And what makes it even better: the glaze colour has been carefully matched to the candles I sell. This one pairs perfectly, truly perfectly, with the turquoise candles you’ll also find somewhere here in the webshop. If that feels a little too well-behaved, of course you’re free to use any colour you like. I’m not here to dictate.
Do keep in mind, though, this is something rather special. Kitty made a small series for me, in different colours. And that’s it. No more will be made.
