Secretly this is one of my favourite treasures in the current collection. ( But please do not let that keep you from buying it. I run a shop, not a museum).
This lantern, or hurricane light if you so wish, has only turned more beautiful with age. There has developed a lovely patina and the paint is faded to a really sweet shade of red.
Made in very thick iron. And that has an added advantage, since it warms up and gives a cosy glow when the candles inside burn. And I checked, the handle remains luke warm so you can easily keep handling it, even when the candles are burning.
