A rare find. A mirror this old and lovely. I was so happy to have found it and was in doubt wether to sell it or not. t. But the coin flipped in favour of the warehouse, for now that is. Because if I have any second thoughts, it still might move to my place.
This mirror was once part of panelling in a old mansion in Spain. And this specific part was probably mounted over the fireplace, probably as a sliding panel.
The decorative trim is carved in the wood, no plaster to be found on this mirror. But you can find loads of old paint. I counted four or five colours. But if you look carefully you can still see the original wood. And I believe that the front is made in burlwood. The back is oak. And no thin planks. No sir. Thick sturdy planks on the back. Which makes this mirror, combined with the glass, very heavy.
There is weather in the glass of the mirror, which is to be expected for a mirror, over 200 years old. Even the lovely climate in Spain, leaves traces over time.
The mirror is to heavy to have send by regular mail, but for a small but reasonable fee, it will be delivered on your doorstep. Or you come and pick it up in the warehouse.
Just take note, the first photo you see is digitally styled and serves as an impression of the atmosphere. The mirror it self is delivered exactly as described and shown in the other photo's.
