Painters have to learn the ins and outs of their craft. There are few who can start and can survive solely on their intuitive talent. And this painting is an example of such a learning pathway. I bought it from a retired art teacher. He did not remember all the details of the student that painted it, except that the artist in question was female.
I really like it, it is a very decorative piece, well painted, full of atmosphere. So it lived for a while at my place, but now it is time to move on to the next owner. Who will hopefully appreciate it just as much as I did and the pensioned teacher before me. What the artist herself thought about this beautiful piece is unknown. But she must have been happy, given the fact that her teacher wanted to keep this painting on display. Rather a compliment, don't you think.
On the photo's it looks as if there are stains on the background, but you are wrong. Those stains are painted. It is supposed to look like that.
The painting is too large to be shipped by regular mail, but for a small but reasonable fee, it will be delivered at your doorstep. Or you can come and pick it up at the warehouse.
Dimensions: height 120 cm, width 80 cm, frame 2 cm. With the linnen is stapled at the wooden frame.
