I call this "kitchen paintings". These kind of naive paintings, totally unpretentious, just aim to please. And to explain myself; kitchen paintings do not have to depict a kitchen perse. It is about that you can see that somebody really tried his or her hardest on the painting and it turned out quite nice. But at the same time you can see that she or he did probably not finish (or start) the Arts Academy.
This is a nice example. A lovely still life, this time indeed with a kitchen theme; onions and a brass pot. Lovely subdued colours, will fit easily in almost any interior.
Dimensions: length 55 cm, height 46 cm, thick 2 cm. Acrylic paint on linnen, stapled on a wooden frame.
